In all games except for Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord companions cannot be killed.

How many companions can you have in Mount and Blade Warband?ġ6 companions Can companions die in Mount and Blade Warband?

Or maybe try to convince the king of your faction to declare war upon the crusading faction, which is difficult and will most likely be rejected by the king. What are the best companions in Mount and Blade Warband? Or just attack the castle and weaken the garrison until there's only a few men left so that the other faction has an incentive to besiege the castle. Or wait until your merc contract expires and then attack and conquer the castle, then join the faction you want to support and hand the castle over to the faction by using the option in dialogue with the king 'I want to give up a fief', then leave the faction which will give you a -20 with the king (this you can compensate by sending 7 caravans with ale/wine if you have a town and a chancellor and a fortified manor) and you'll lose the +50 relationship. Once your faction is at war with the crusading faction you shouldn't have a problem to rush to the defense of the castle. So, you're at war with the crusading faction but the faction of which you're a merc isn't at war with the crusading faction? Then you'll have to loot/attack whatever there is in order to provoke a war between your faction and the crusading faction. If you're a female you'll have a hard time finding a husband, life for females isn't that easy in warband as it is for males. I only know of the possibility through the wife, don't know if the chancellor also has this option if you're not married, because as soon as I am a lord to some faction I will go after the ladies in order to get married.
